Kyle Sliger dominates XDL and SBFC Round Two in Sonoma, CA

Sonoma, CA – ICON athlete Kyle Sliger left XDL and SBFC Round One with a disappointing 6th place in the XDL Pro Freestyle. After winning the 2012 Rookie of the Year honors, Sliger has waited patiently for the next season of XDL to roll around. After a five year wait he showed up in Atlanta against some of the world’s top Street Bike Freestyle Athletes, excited, nervous and ready to prove he wasn’t just an internet sensation. Things didn’t go as planned.

Fast forward to four months after the Atlanta round and Kyle showed up to Round Two in Sonoma, CA determined to make a run for the 2017 XDL Championship and carve his name in stone next to the other great XDL Champions. Riding well all weekend Kyle kept Marcin Glowacki and 4-time XDL Champion Factory Graves Yamaha’s Bill Dixon within in his reach, qualifying third, taking second in Round One and third place in Round Two. Facing off against Bill Dixon in the XDL Pro Semis he pulled a solid run that was enough to take down the current champion. He moved on to the Championship Round to face current points leader Marcin Glowacki. Marcin had a get off just past the middle of his run. Competition would end for the night and Kyle would return to take a solo run the next morning. He went out and laid down a good run with Big Sliger tricks like 360s, circle variations and a combination of tricks that was enough for the judges to credit him with a win over Glowacki.

Kyle didn’t stop there, he continued his main event domination by winning the Circle Challenge, the RSC Drift Limbo and the Racing 905 Stunt Course and then taking second in the Mini Bike Competition. The Sickest Trick presented by Racetech Inc was the only event he didn’t finish secon

With the victory, Kyle catapults himself right into the middle of the 2017 XDL Championship Points Chase. You can follow along with the adventure on Facebook at and Instagram @XDLshow
